Application Forms

Applications for COSI 2018 are now open
To apply to COSI 2018 summer program, click here. Our Early Bird application fee ends on September 16.
Applications for all programs are to be completed using Yaptracker.
Applicants can request a live audition or submit a recorded audition (YouTube links or video/audio files are acceptable).


A subscription to the YapTracker service is NOT required to view the above application form, however non-subscribers will be required to sign-up for a free guest account. The registration page contains full options and information for both full and guest memberships; visit the Yaptracker registration page at www.yaptracker.com/register for more information.

Live Auditions


All dates, faculty, and program information are subject to change and enrollment.

Application Deadlines

Deadline for complete applications for recorded auditions: Sunday, November 19, 2017.

Deadline for complete applications for live auditions: one week before audition date.

Application Fees

$20 All programs on the main application until Saturday September 16, 2017
$40 All programs on the main application until Sunday November 19, 2017

Application Guidelines

Required materials for the applicants in the following programs


Opera Scenes

Collaborative Piano

Interns (Conducting, Stage Direction, Stage Management, Stage Production)

  • Online application form
  • Résumé
  • Digital headshot or candid photo
  • Short bio (250 words or less, in third person)
  • Uploaded audition selections (for recorded auditions)
  • Application fee

Required Materials for the Opera Chorus and Oratorio Chorus Program Applicants:

  • Online application form
  • Résumé
  • Digital headshot or candid photo
  • Short bio (250 words or less, in third person)
  • Uploaded audition selections (for recorded auditions)

Audition Repertoire


OPERA and OPERA SCENES applicants

Two operatic arias, one of which must be in Italian:

  • One aria must be with recitative
  • One Italian art song may be substituted for an aria

Singers are required to provide their own accompanist.


No auditions are required.


One solo work and two opera arias:

  • One movement of a piano sonata by Beethoven, Haydn, or Mozart, or a solo work which is representative of middle- or late- Romantic style,
  • Two opera arias, in a collaborative performance with a singer provided by you.


For its “Extraordinary Opera Training,” COSI welcomes recorded submissions from singers and collaborative pianists around the globe. Our prices are in $CAD.

Please note that all fees, including application fees and tuition fees are non-refundable.
