COSI’s Collaborative Piano and Continuo program is outstanding in its opportunities and the professional quality of its experiences. Be at the integral centre with opera conductors and singers in rehearsals and performances of the COSI Opera Festival. The program includes:

  • Training in the essential operatic repertoire and in a world premiere
  • Italian language instruction that emphasizes vocabulary and pronunciation, and practical study of the opera librettos in each COSI season
  • Private lessons on playing opera scores, and developing collaborative piano skills.
  • Conducting instruction (optional, and at no additional cost)
  • Dedicated forums only for Collaborative Pianists
  • Networking with outstanding colleagues in the profession
  • Participate in Sulmona’s Preliminary Round of the 51st IVC -s’Hertogenbosch: For Opera, Oratorio Singers and Pianist-Singer Art Song Duos. On the stage of the Maria Caniglia Opera House. Website: http://www.ivc.nu/en/
  • Masterclass performances with mentoring
  • Performing in Sulmona’s ancient and magnificent courtyards
  • Continuo training, and performing as part of an opera orchestra
  • Participation in the COSI Opera Creation Lab
  • A complete experience for professional development as a repetiteur, collaborative pianist and opera coach within today’s international network.
