COSI is pleased to offer internship programs with esteemed professionals in its opera productions.

Opera Conducting Internship:
Successful applicants to COSI’s innovative Opera Conducting Internship program will be assigned directly to one of COSI’s operas. They will be Assistant Conductors, they will work directly with the opera conductor. Opera Conducting Interns are offered one-on-one mentoring and coaching sessions, and rehearsal conducting opportunities with the soloists and the COSI Festival Orchestra. Performance opportunities will be dependent upon demonstrated experience and capabilities during the program and are not guaranteed. The internship will also include the coaching of repertoire with COSI’s young artists, as well as Italian language training, and stage movement classes.

 

 

Opera Chorus Conducting Internship:

Successful applicants to COSI’s innovative Opera Chorus Conducting Internship program will be assigned directly to one of COSI’s operas with chorus. They will be Assistant Chorus Masters, and will work directly with the ChorusMaster and Artistic Director. Opera Chorus Conducting Interns are offered one-on-one mentoring and coaching sessions in their professional discipline, and are responsible for opera chorus rehearsals under the Chorus Master’s supervision. They will also conduct selected choruses at COSI’s Gala Concert.  The internship includes Italian language training, voice lessons, and stage movement classes.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS:

In addition to the basic application requirements found on our YAP Tracker page, Opera Conducting Internship applicants are required to upload two contrasting video excerpts of no longer than ten minutes each, and Opera Chorus Conducting Applicants are required to upload three contrasting video excerpts of 3-5 minutes each. Internship offers are directly specific to each applicant. All candidates must apply via YAP Tracker in order to qualify for the Internship.
