14 Website Programs Stage Management InternshipSuccessful applicants to COSI’s innovative Stage Management Internship program will be assigned directly to one of COSI’s three operas, acting as Assistant Stage Managers, with specific responsibilities.

Stage Management Interns will also benefit from working with our phenomenal directors and stage managers, . Interns will gain valuable experience in running a rehearsal, and will gain hands-on experience in every aspect of the opera production. In addition to the practical experience, regular seminars will be offered to discuss “best-practices” and regulations in stage management, and provide an opportunity for individual questions and development. Stage Management interns will also have an opportunity to run COSI and Opera Scenes concerts.

In addition to ongoing mentoring and coaching from the stage managers, all interns may take COSI’s stage management classes music literacy with Dianne Edwards (Faculty of Education – Music, University of Toronto), Italian language classes, and  bodyworks classes.
