Be a COSI Stage Management Intern;
Get Skilled, Get Experience, and Join the Network!

Successful applicants to COSI’s innovative Stage Management Internship program will be assigned directly to one of COSI’s operas as a Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager.

Stage Management Interns will also benefit from working with our phenomenal artistic teams. Interns will gain valuable experience in running a rehearsal and will gain hands-on experience in their vital aspects of the production. In addition to the practical experience, regular sessions will be offered to discuss “best-practices” and regulations in stage management, and provide an opportunity for individual questions and development. Stage Management interns will also have an opportunity to run events for the COSI Courtyard and Cathedral Concert Series.

In addition to ongoing mentoring from COSI’s faculty, all interns may take COSI’s  music literacy classes with Dianne Edwards (Faculty of Education – Music, University of Toronto), Italian language classes, and stage movement classes.

COSI 2017 Stage Managers (from left) Meghan Maguire (Suor Angelica/Opera Scenes), Andreana Christiansen (Don Giovanni), and Kaitlyn Smith (L’Elisir d’Amore).
